| Randy Holland, MBA Founder and Managing Partner Randy Holland came to Nashville in 1978 to attend Belmont University. In 1983, he launched the most technologically advanced recording studio in Nashville: Bullet Recording, a feat that won him (at the age of 23) the Innovator of the Year award from the Society of Professional Audio Recording Studios. In 1986, Holland migrated west to southern California where he excelled first as a songwriter earning a Grammy Award in 1989 for his song "Giving You The Best That I Got" sung by pop-jazz singer, Anita Baker. Then, as if songwriting were not a formidable enough pursuit, Holland abruptly changed careers trading in his flip-flops for wing-tips. He joined the investment real estate firm of Marcus and Millichap where he, in his words, "gained the experience and education of a lifetime." From 1992 to 1994, he developed a new organizational architecture for personal training businesses that has come to be known as Delta Coaching. This self-governing model encourages ensemble leadership and rewards coaches for their client's results. Read about it in the cover story of the April 2005 issue of "Club Business International" Magazine. In 2004 he led the development and release of Deltatrac, an online coaching and personal training tool for health clubs that assesses individuals and prescribes programs according to their unique genetic profile. The software holds three international patents for its unique prescription tools, and even as a club-only leadership tool, it has successfully changed the lives of thousands of people. In 2008 he led the development and release of Deltatrac Version 4.0, the first online coaching product that uses an individual's genetic profile to prescribe a workout program. Holland holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Vanderbilt University.

By the time he graduated high school, he had acquired his First Degree black belt in Taekwondo, and had danced for six years with the Memphis Ballet Company. Graduating with a degree in Exercise Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1995, lead him into the professional fitness world. John Payne, ACE, NAHF Director, Boot John grew up in Missouri and attended Southwest Baptist University. He obtained a degree in Psychology(?) and began his career in healthcare as a mental health case worker in the private hospital industry. In 1998 his employer relocated him to Nashville where he met Randy Holland at a local gym. A fast friendship emerged as he watched then-personal trainer, Holland invoke his “You’ve got to face the music, and I can help you do it” approach to fitness-recovery. As a Mr. Missouri body building champion he knew that courage was at the heart of personal renovation. Holland’s approach seemed to enable, even foster that courage. “I got into mental health because I wanted my contribution to count,” says Payne. “When I saw the Delta programs and their eventual fruit, I knew I could make a much more significant contribution there than in mental health. And I haven’t been disappointed.” “The quality of our programs instantly went way up when John joined the team,” says Holland. “His steadfast dedication to his clients and the care he has for them makes us all better. He sets the bar very, very high.” John is a proud father, a devoted husband, and a humble follower of Christ. But if you don’t keep your end of the bargain (food, water, cardio, etc.), you’ll meet the guy in the photograph. |
